5 out of 5 stars Awesome Book!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   November 9, 2008
This book is an excellent book for people in relationships. It is an easy & good read.

5 out of 5 stars a MUST read for anyone in a relationship!   October 27, 2008
it was my husband's idea to read this book together when we first started dating. boy did it make a difference!

the book actually reads really fast. i would recommend taking the test first to find out your love language and your mate's, then read the respective chapters on those 2 languages first, then read the rest of the book.

this should seriously be a requirement for engaged couples.

without having read it, my husband and i would be miserable.

5 out of 5 stars Change your marriage, change your life   October 24, 2008
This is such a simple concept and very easy to put into practice. If you have a horrible marriage or just a so-so marriage, read this book to immediately start improving your relationship with your spouse. My husband responded so quickly I was amazed. Not knowing our respective love languages previously was the whole problem for us. Now that is all in the past and we couldn't be happier. (My husband has still not read the book, so he's not sure what hit him, but he is reaping the benefits from me and returning the love to me in the way I need it.)

5 out of 5 stars learn how to communicate your love   October 3, 2008
This is such an insightful book that will open your eyes to how you feel love as well as others including your spouse. It also helps you discover how you interpret love and can show love to others in a way they understand. Interesting read, i would recommend to anyone.

5 out of 5 stars A must read for everyone   September 30, 2008
Someone lent me this book. I loved it so much, I bought a copy for myself. I think everyone should read it who has or wants to have a relationship of any kind with anyone. I liked it so much, I bought the Five Love Languages for Teenagers and The Five Love Languages for Singles.

Mr. Chapman claims that there are five primary love languages: words of affirmation, physical touch, acts of service, receiving gifts and quality time. Although we all need to be loved in all the ways, there is one love language that is our primary love language. If we are not loved in this primary love language, then our love tank becomes empty and we feel unloved, even if all four other love languages are being spoken to us.

So my conjecture is this may be then, why someone with the love language of words of affirmation would 'fish' for compliments, because they have a deep need to hear affirming words.
Happy reading!
