Good for research February 1, 2007 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
An interlinear bible is essential for doing research in the original Hebrew and Greek manuscripts. This interlinear is based upon the non corrupt Textus Receptus and Ben Chayim manuscripts that underlies the King James bible. My only complaint is that the print is very tiny and a magnifying glass my be required for some. The reason for this is because there is a a huge amount of text crammed in a relatively small book.

I would highly recommend "The Interlinear Bible: Hebrew-Greek-English" by Jay Green to any minister who may be rusty on their languages. I particularly appreciate the cross reference with Strong's Concordance.
necessary crib January 15, 2007 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
If your Hebrew is sort of weak, this is a necessary source. (Ditto, Greek) It's also handy if you simply want a sense of the most likely reading of a line. The translation, being fairly literal, is much more accurate than any standard English Bible. My fault with it--besides the size of the type-- is that it is keyed to the Strong's Concordance, which I would use with misgivings, if ever. Strong's often refers one to misleading readings of the root. You still need the Brown, Driver & Briggs. And, of course, there's no sense of the way a word might have been used in Ugaritic. That aside, I feel the Green is the most useful of the Interlinears. Okay, maybe the only really useful one.
A Wonderful Resource January 13, 2007 This interlinear Bible represents a lot of book for the money. It is well laid out, comprehensive, and the literal translations line-by-line really add to one's understanding. Apart from a smallish font which can be hard on the eyes in the foreign language sections this is a real winner and highly recommended.
Great for Hebrew Research. January 11, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
It doesn't substitute for a real Hebrew Bible as it is missing some of the foot notes that I have become accustomed to seeing.
But a great book. Make sure you have a good magnifying glass. I have excellent eye site and sometimes find myself straining to see what is written.
