A useful discovery August 8, 2004 17 out of 18 found this review helpful
I am a seminary student and I am about to take Hebrew, my first ancient language class. This book expounds and clarifies how symbols and patterns of symbols are used in language to communicate meaning. I feel much more at ease about the study of Greek and Hebrew now that I have read Dr. Silzer and Dr. Finley's book. They have filled the gap between my functional knowledge of the English language and my first day of Hebrew class by establishing a workable framework to build on. I am grateful for their effort and I recommend this book to anyone that "has to take Greek and Hebrew."
