5 out of 5 stars 2008 Children's Writer's & Illustrator's Market   April 27, 2008
This is an excellent book and I am sure will be very helpful to me as a prospective children's writer.

5 out of 5 stars Writers' Bible   April 6, 2008
I buy this book each year. If you're not using it, you're probably not selling much -- or, at the very least, not expanding the markets to which you sell. Buy it!

4 out of 5 stars Valuable from the first section.   January 22, 2008

Wow! I went to sleep late the night this arrived. I gained much and I'm still reading through the first few articles. This is packed with valuable "how to" information. It also contains loads of references. But from the very beginning, this book help me to think of my writing as a business and a passion, not just a passion. A must buy!

The only thing I could do without is the author's intro. I really don't think a story about journaling the first time she was drunk has a place in a guide on children's book writing. Remind me not to let my children read any of her books.

5 out of 5 stars A Definite Must Have...   January 12, 2008

Love It... I bought the '03 edition and it's improved sooooo much over the years. It's very informative and very user-friendly. There's great tips on how to format your manuscript, cover letter, and query. You will be glad that you bought it.

5 out of 5 stars Great resource book for new writers   November 18, 2007

After I wrote a children's book, someone suggested that I might consider sending it to a children's publisher. With no clue what to do, this book was recommended to me by 2 librarians. Although it doesn't tell you how to write a query letter, it helped me to get started, which is often the most difficult step.
