 This was used for a Purity Class at our church November 3, 2006
We used this book along with it's curriculum guide (bought at Mardels)to teach a purity class at our United Methodist Church. We only had about 9 weeks to teach all 20 lessons which wasn't too difficult because the lessons are not very long and can easily compliment each other. Our church pastor received it very well and everyone was very supportive, we had the full blessing of God to go forward with this! It was a huge success and the parents were very receptive and wonderfully supportive with this. We also did the boys book The Squire and the Scroll. I highly recommend this and the Squire and the Scroll. It's never too early to start teaching about purity, and this book does it in a very good way. It talks about "protecting your kiss."

Beautiful book (in picures and story). It really shows girls (and boys) what a wonderful gift God gives us and how we should save that gift for the special person. Wonderfully told. My daughter (2 1/2) LOVES it. It is her favorite book.

I bought this for my 8 year old sister on her birthday and it has become one of her favorites! Even I enjoyed it! And I'm sixteen! :) It is such a beautiful story with SO much meaning. If you want to show your daughters (or sisters) the power of purity and introduce the concept of waiting for your future husband, instead of dating around BUY THIS BOOK!!!! My little sister had a crush on a guy, but after reading the book said that she wasn't going to try and sit by him anymore ;) I only wish I had read this book at her age and missed a whole lot of little, but put together, big mistakes. I highly HIGHLY recommend this book!

I bought this book for my youngest daughter. She is past the age of being read picture books, but I needed a way to explain to her about love and giving love. She read it to herself and gave me a big smile. It seemed to put her at ease with this area of growing up. I loved it too. It is so well done and so special. I wish all girls could have this book from the time they are little. A gem.
