What a wonderful way to impart to your little ones at a young age the specialness of their first kiss and the importance of purity!!! A must-read for every little girl--and boy! Perfect to give as a gift.

5 out of 5 stars Every Mom and Daughter Should Share This Book!   December 20, 2001

My Sister-in-law sent this book to my daughter for her birthday, along with some similarly themed "princess" things. The first time we read it as a bedtime story, I had tears in my eyes. The beautiful illustrations and important message were perfectly interwoven. We will read this book many, many, times over the years, and as my four year-old becomes a young woman, it will be a wonderful tool to use to open discussion about love and the true meaning of purity. Thank you Jennie Bishop for sharing your Mother's heart with all of us!

5 out of 5 stars A Book to Change the World   December 19, 2001

Recently while at a weekend Peer Education Training event at Harsens Island, Michigan, I was introduced by the trainer to this wonderful book, "The Princess and the Kiss," by Jennie Bishop. I was SO VERY IMPRESSED with its message, I bought it for each of my seven grandchildren, who are all under the age of 12. Our's is a sacred responsibility to help our children learn who they are, where they came from, why they are on this earth, and where they are going when they leave. This outstanding story helps them understand WHO they are, that they are precious to their parents, and that they can understand and live by principles that will preserve their lives. As a registered nurse and adolescent health coordinator in a community health center, I see first hand every day the devastation when parents do not teach their children of their divine nature, and when children make choices that break with family values that have preserved trust throughout time. Thank you Jennie Bishop for conveying this is such a wonderful way. You are my hero! I will be buying this book again and again to give as a gift to new parents.

5 out of 5 stars A beautyful Fairytale bridge:   August 18, 2000

THE PRINCESS AND THE KISS is a wonderful fairytale story with incredible meaning, beautiful symbolism, and a heart touching storyline. I bought the book and am reading it to my three-year-old daughter (who loves to dress-up) and now she has added "the Princess" to her dress-up repertoire. Denee does not understand (of course) the deeper meanings of the book yet (thank the Lord), however, when the time comes for her mom and I to discuss Love, Sex, physical changes, and Josh McDowell work books, she will have had a wonderful bridge to these subjects through "The Princess and the Kiss."

5 out of 5 stars PURITY IS A GIFT   July 29, 2000

THIS BOOK REINFORCED MY MOTHERS TEACHING OF REMAINING PURE FOR MARRAIGE IN THIS MODERN DAY THINKING WITHOLDING THAT FIRST KISS UNTIL MARRAIGE IS CONSIDERED PURITANICAL,BUT THIS BOOK AFFIRMS THAT,THAT DECISION IS WHAT GOD WOULD WANT. I BELIEVE THIS BOOK ENCOURAGES BOYS AND GIRLS TO REMAIN PURE AND WAIT FOR TH SPECIAL PERSON GOD HAS FOR THEM.IT WAS A WONDERFUL FAIRY TALE AND ALL MY SISTERS ENJOYED IT.IT WAS NICE TO SEE SOMEONE WRITE ABOUT PURITY AND INNOCENCE WHICH IS A GIFT. SO OFTEN CHILDREN TODAY ARE IN A HURRY TO GROW UP AND DO GROWN UP THINGS,I THINK IT IS NICE THAT THIS BOOK TELLS US WE DON'T HAVE TO BE IN A HURRY AND EVEN NICER THAT IT IS BETTER IF WE ARE NOT.I LOVED THIS BOOK MY MOM IS GOING TO BUY A BUNCH OF THESE BOOKS TO GIVE AS GIFTS SO MORE LITTLE GIRLS WILL BE ENCOURAGED TO SAVE THE FIRST KISS FOR THAT SPECIAL PERSON GOD HAS FOR THEM.WE ALSO READ A BOOK CALLED "BEAUTIFUL GIRLHOOD"IT WAS ALSO A GREAT BOOK ON PROPER BEHAVIOR FOR YOUNG LADIES.
