typos galore January 5, 2007 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This book is not very helpful because it is littered with typos, not only in the text, but also in tables and graphs. I recommend that you save your money and purchase a better book then this.
Clear and concise for the student and lab generalist December 8, 2006 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is an excellent book to use as an introduction to clinical chemistry. The chapter layout is logical and the content finds an appropriate balance keeping things concise but with enough depth for most student MTs and generalists. Specialist lab personnel and student MTs with clinical chemistry as a career interest would probably find the Tietz Fundamentals (not the Tietz Textbook-that's overkill) to be a better investment though as it covers topics at greater depth.
A CONCISE, BUT GOOD BOOK May 7, 2000 8 out of 13 found this review helpful
ALTHOUGH KAPLAN'S BOOK CLINICAL CHEMISTRY IS MORE EXTENSE, AND COVERS THE SUBJECTS QUITE DEEPLY, THIS BOOK IS A CONCISE, AND GOOD, ALTERNATIVE. IT'S MAIN ADVANTAGE IS THAT ALL SUBJECTS ARE NEWLY REVISED AND TRIES TO OFFER THE CLASSICAL AND NEWEST METHODS IN USE IN CLINICAL LABORATORIES.
