twenty and ten December 1, 2006 1 out of 4 found this review helpful
I don't think Twenty And Ten is a realistic story. I don't think it is real because there are a couple events in this book that are not realistically portrayed. for example, there are many problems in this book that are solved too quickly, like when the children had no way of knowing how quickly it would take the Nazis to arrive on their bicycles. Or another thing, how did Janet and Philip get to the cave really fast? I also think it is unrealistsic that a boy as young as Louis would have known not to speak. Overall, I think that this book was really good and helps you understand more about the holocaust.
How Twenty and Ten is Realistic November 29, 2006 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
I strongly recomend that Twenty and Ten is existent because it did encounter in 1952, which was the time of World War II. From my point of view this is very naturalistic especially because the Nazis were exterminating the Jews which was what was what happened in the book. The other 20 kids were helping as much as they could to not look like they have jews and were helping the 10 kids conceal themselves. A huge clue that it's real is that they had little food and needed to use ration cards like we did in life back then. Why would people think it's unreal when they had little food, were hunted and had almost nothing to play.
twentey and ten not relistic November 29, 2006 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
Twentey and Ten a good book but but it is not realistic their are opptimistic parts that should be pessismistic parts, their are fellings that shouldent be shown for example when the kid steals the mouth watring rare chocolate but when they caght theif a bit hurt they say "are you ok? here we can all share the choclate" how woulde say that to a theif! But even before that a random person gives a jew some choclate. I know thar is nice but you dont give randome people the last of your food! but the book is ok be sides its not a realistic book
Good in many ways November 29, 2006 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I thought that Twenty and Ten was a very realsitic book. The author really took what happened if you were a Jewish child and put it into this story. This book can make you feel many different emotions, including being sad, being happy, and being scared. This book is based on the Holocaust and makes the features in this story appear very true. This book is very convincing, and it is probably one of my favorites!
hard to beleave but great! November 29, 2006 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Twenty and ten is I think a realistic book because the book was telling of the nazis and what happend to the jewish kids if the nazis found them. The story seemed to be happening as this book was being written. In the book the kids were playing when the nazis were coming up the road and the kids saw them. The jewish kids had to hide in an under ground cave so the nazis wouldn't find them. Henry said to all the kids not to say anything about the jewish kids and play dumb. This book made me think how hard it was during world war II. this is why Ic think twenty and ten is a great book and I recommend it to every one!
