5 out of 5 stars Will Always Remember This Book   July 26, 2007
A friend of mine started a book group with this book. The two of us ended up being the only ones who finished it; however, it brought us so much closer together and closer to our Lord. Before reading this book I never realized how much Jesus really loves each of us, and in a way that we always dreamed of as little girls. Many women are let down by men because they think that men should fit into the knight in shining armor image, but they are human just like us and not perfect. Jesus is perfect and our yearing for the image is due to our yearning for a romantic love with Jesus, not with men. My favorite part of this book was "kisses from the king" which describes that any little thing during the day that just makes you smile or makes you heart happy like a full mooon, or a beautiful sunrise.. he is loving you daily. My friend and I frequently speak about our normal kisses we recieve and smile to one another when no one else knows what we mean. This book also backs the Lord's love with women from the bible and how he loved them just like he does to us today.

5 out of 5 stars Beautiful! The truth that every woman's heart yearns to hear!!   November 15, 2006
We are just finishing this study as a group. It has been nine amazing weeks. Dee's teaching is outstanding on the video componant, not to be missed. The workbook is thought provoking and deep. It will require about 30 - 40 minutes daily five days a week to complete. For me as a study leader, this has summed up all my favorite scriptures and perfectly describes my experience with the living God. Wow, what a wonderful journey, one I was desiring to share with other women but didn't know quite how. This has been exactly what I was looking for. I highly recommend it and it works well for group study. It is Beautiful! What every woman's heart yearns to hear, the truth about our Beloved!!!

5 out of 5 stars Real Love   August 25, 2006
Kathy Trocoli and Dee Brestin wrote Falling in Love with Jesus. Falling in Love with Jesus is An interesting title . The idea that women are romantic is not new.
The way these two took Kathy's journal entries of Kathy wanting to find the right man in her life, and the song titles they used to introduce the idea of falling completely and totally in love with Jesus had me spellbound immediately.
Finding out that Kathy was true to her values when she refused to do a song that had questionable lyrics, walked away from a lucrative career and made her living singing at weddings, made me focus in on my own life and ask the question if I stand as firmly for my own values.
I have recommended this book to our pastor for a Women's Bible study group.

2 out of 5 stars Not Amused   May 10, 2006

This is one of the MANY workbooks/studies that I purchased but simply did not, and will not complete.

I felt like I was being fed the story of THEIR lives. I mean, I wanted to do this study to learn! I wanted there to be some tips on how I could better strengthen my relationship with Christ, and something that would give me things that I could apply to my life everyday...that's important too me!

But this workbook feels like a gossip session in my opinion. Probably because each chapter starts with a few stories about something or they say view the video. and then you are feed questions.

For example: If I told you a story about a day in my home. Fed you a few scriptures-(which you would need the version of bible that this workbook is composed in to begin to get an understanding of where they are trying to progress you too) and then put a few side line quotes on the side of the page from St. Augestine or someone else. And got your focus on MY life. Then said.

1. Has there been a time in your life when you felt Christ rescued you from Depression? How did that make you feel?

then a few more questions

and then a question about why you felt Jane Doe (who's story was the opening of your study) felt the way she did?

-Is the way this workbook is written in my opinion.

This isn't a workbook I would suggest or reccomend.
