Product Description A Formatio book. Whether you are a longtime journal keeper or someone who has never kept a journal at all, this book will help you go below the surface of your life with God. It is not about the art of writing, but about how journaling can form us spiritually. Every chapter combines descriptive text, illustrations from journals and the author's own experience with journaling practices integrated along the way to help you bring your own life and world into sharper focus. God wants to surprise you with the beauty of your own life, growing and alive, filled with movement, light and shadow. This is the book to do just that.

I originally got this book from the library, started reading and found it to be an excellent book so I ordered it. It simply got me to thinking and seemed to clear some of the grey areas in my life.

What a wonderful book! As Christians we often talk of walking with Jesus. Cepero, through her thoughtful and concrete description of journal writing as a spiritual practice, shows the reader how to experience God's abundant and creative presence. The exercises within the book are inspiring. They creatively challenge the journal writer to experience God within all aspects of life: the past and the present; our hopes and dreams; our lives within our bodies. I highly recommend this book for those who are in need of experiencing God's compassionate care for their life and journey.

This is a wonderful book--both for people who have not journalled before, and those more grounded in the practice. The author weaves simple and lovely exercises through a text rich with personal anecdotes--so the book and the journalling processes are very approachable. She teaches how a self-reflection process can deepen one's relationship not only with self-but also with the Divine. She is writing from a Christian perspective--so this will resonate easily with people used to that language, but I believe that people on other God-paths will benefit from it too. Highly recommended.
