3 out of 5 stars Still worthy, lacks depth.   August 31, 2008
I appreciated the perspective of the author and the many experiences of others shared there in; however; what I was looking for was never directly addressed. This said, it did make me dig deeper into why it happens at all and what the true answer to it all really is.

With that said the only healing that can take place for such an addiction is through the complete forgiveness process. Being 100% committed to surrendering ones heart and soul to the our Lord Jesus Christ and anything short of that will not work. I repeat, if your not 100% committed, you will fail in the healing process.

Understanding that and the fact that within this world we all remain sinners and perfection was only achieved by Jesus Himself, know that temptations will still exist and the secret to our survival as sinners in this world is knowing and acting upon forgiveness.

If tempted, know that He is there beside you and flee, if you stumble or fall, know that Jesus is there to forgive and seek the forgiveness as soon as possible. Talk to Jesus as you would talk to yourself and remain in this constant of prayer.

The above is what the book left out and should have been the most important page of the book.

Unfortunately most authors of books are like speakers who love to hear themselves speak, they write a lot about a whole lot of sounds good for nothing.

As for most spiritual help books, if you're a Christian and need help, the above suggestion will work. Read your Bible, seek forgiveness and stay in prayer.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent read   July 24, 2008
This book is an excellent read and brilliantly portrayed by a person who has had first hand experience in this area. It integrates knowledge from various aspects and neatly intertwine it to a complete whole and becomes more comprehensing.

5 out of 5 stars Well written & informative   June 25, 2008
This was an incredibly informative book and was written with with compassion & professionalism. It was required reading for a counseling class and gave me the ability to be able to view sexual addictions from the view of the addict. I also enjoyed the reference to Christian morals and values with Biblical references.

5 out of 5 stars The best resource I've read yet   March 28, 2008
This book is by far the best I've read on this subject. It doesn't dance around language or issues, but hits the subject head on with Biblical principles. I'd recommend this book (and have) to anyone suffering from sexual addiction.

5 out of 5 stars Straight forward and very practical   March 7, 2006

This book hits the nail on the head by dealing with the roots of sexual addiction and giving practical steps toward recovery. If you are ready to be free, then do the hard work of examining your childhood for any abuse or neglect, whether real or perceived, and you'll discover the lies you tell yourself to find comfort in impurity. This is where the real challenge is because we are so afraid of feeling that pain again. But I'm here to tell you that the path to healing is through the pain and discomfort of processing those experiences. Know this...emotional pain will not kill you but the addiction will. You will need help from others to do this but you can and you must do it to rid yourself of this demon. The book gives you all the info and direction to do this.
