Deborah Cassidi not only compiled a generous variety of prayers, but she includes the personal sidenotes from their contributers as well. Knowing the names, hobbies, and occupations of the contributers made these prayers more universal AND personal. From postmen to British royalty, I got an insight as to the context in which these prayers were used. One woman carried the same prayer in her purse for years! Genuinely revealing the universality of prayer in today's world is not easily done, but it is certainly shown in this book.
