Product Description Why is this Bible different from all other Bibles? Because it is the only English version fully Jewish in style and presentation. It includes Dr. Stern's new version of the "Tanakh" ("Old Testament") and his highly acclaimed "Jewish New Testament." The Complete Jewish Bible: - follows the Hebrew Bible order of the Tanakh's books, the order with which Yeshua (Jesus) was familiar - makes no separation between "Old" and "New" Testaments - corrects misinterpretations in the New Testament resulting from anti-Jewish theological bias - offers the original Hebrew names for people, places, and concepts, using easy-to-read English transliterations - focuses on Messianic prophecy - gives the traditional weekly and holiday synagogue readings, plus relevant readings from the "B'rit Hadashah" (New Testament) The Complete Jewish Bible: - reconnects Christians with their Jewish roots and the Jewish people - connects Jews with the Jewishness of Messiah Yeshua and Messianic faith Other features of this Bible: a comprehensive introduction, a pronouncing explanatory glossary, a reverse glossary, and special maps to aid Bible understanding.

This Bible is Awesome! November 19, 2008 This Bible is what I have been looking for, No more transliterations for Yeshua!!! Our Messiah's name should have never been changed from Iesous who is a Greek god of healing, Yeshua is the true Messiah, and we should call him by his real name!!
Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
My Expectations November 11, 2008 The Complete Jewish Bible is a very good text to include in ones's library. It is more of a paraphrase than a literal word for word translation and its strength is that it gives one an understanding of the Hebraic mindset when reading the text. I find this to be very useful when studying.
I was disappointed, however, as I thought I was receiving a later printing than what I did receive. Other than that, the Complete Jewish Bible is all it is supposed to be; presented from a Hebraic perspective to give the student a better understanding of the written word. The introduction alone is worth the price of the book. David Stern did an outstanding work. Check out the Jewish Commentary on the New Testament as well by Dr. Stern.

This bible delivers the goods, dont listen to the ignorance October 28, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The complete Jewish Bible by David Stern is a sure-fire home run. If you are a Messianic Jew, or just a Christian trying to bring back the Jewishness of Christianity, then this is a great version of the bible. It's writings are poetic, and classic. It puts the books in chronological order (The same order that Yeshua was familiar with) and give you the names of the books both in English and the original Hebrew. Great addition to any library. However you will see several ignorant, uninformed, people who will bad mouth the CJB and this is why: They are either Messianic denying Orthodox Jews or simply ignorant clowns who are easily deceived and are uneducated. This book is called the COMPLETE Jewish Bible. Not simply the Tankah, so it is not misleading. If you are an orthodox Jew who doesn't acknowledge Yeshua as the one and only Messiah, or you don't believe in the New Testament.....don't read it! don't buy it, don't pick it up! This is not a misleading Bible and it isn't meant to deceive! Give me a break. don't listen to those naysayer's, and I'm quiet certain they will post some ridiculous backlash to this posting which will only make me right. I digress.... Buy this Bible, it's elegant and restores the Jewishness of Christianity, pick it up if you know what's good for ya!
