Amazon.com Review
The success of Jerry B. Jenkins and Tim LaHaye's fast-paced apocalyptic Left Behind thrillers is built on a straightforward Christian message and a blend of dialogue and action; the 10th installment of the series, The Remnant: On the Brink of Armageddon, sticks to the same proven formula that has captivated legions of fans. It's one month into the Great Tribulation, and a million people gather in the ancient city of Petra to await the foretold "Glorious Appearing." The Global Community loses no time in bombing the city, which is completely engulfed in flames, guaranteeing certain doom for those assembled unless a miracle occurs. In other parts of the world, martyrdom continues for the remnant of believers as Global Community potentate Nicolae Carpathia's thirst for blood escalates. There are lots of slick escapes, plenty of intrigue, some genuinely gory moments, and enough gruesome plagues straight out of the biblical Book of Revelation to keep readers turning the pages. When the Chicago believers are forced to scatter and discord breaks out among those gathered at Petra, changes accelerate for the Tribulation Force and other series characters, leaving an ample number of loose ends to be picked up in the next episode. --Cindy Crosby

2 out of 5 stars Who is left behind?   October 3, 2008
Dr. LaHaye believes that the resurrection occurs before the tribulation so the title left behind is a non-issue accordintg to his own doctrine because in the resurrection all believers are changed and no one is left behind, which is why the resurrection occurs after the tribulation on the last day as taught by Christ.

His message fails to warn as Jesus taught in his parables regarding his coming. Christ taught his followers that some would be ready and some would not and the consequences in each case. When was the last time you heard a preacher minister from the parables of Christ with respect to his return? When was the last time you heard a message on the coming of Christ? Have you been told what Christ said would happen to followers who are not ready for his coming? I finally became so annoyed at the preaching in the church that I was compelled to write a book to warn the church regarding spiritual negligence and the consequences as taught by Christ. It's called Ready or Not, Here I Come. The book explains what Christ taught with respect to his coming. I was afraid it would shock the church. Then I realized there was no other alternative when I considered what Jesus taught. Luke 12:47-48. Ready or Not, Here I ComeDo not deactivate link to Ready or Not, Here I Come. It's very annoying.

5 out of 5 stars What will and what may come   October 1, 2008
Co-author Jerry B. Jenkins. #10 in the Left Behind series. This rating applies to #1-#9 as well. I didn't read this entry in the series for several months after it came out, so I had been away from it for awhile. These books do such a good job of telling what will happen based on Biblical passages, and what might plausibly happen, as Lahaye and Jenkins have surmised or inferred from the Bible.

Most striking is the way that God will directly intervene in human events and those who believe will commune directly with God's power, while those who do not believe will curse God and search for other causes.

3 out of 5 stars PART OF THE LEFT BEHIND SERIES   April 6, 2008
This is one of the books in the Left Behind Series. Similar to all the others. Fortunately is a story in itself, so if you don't get the whole series you can still get a good read.

5 out of 5 stars Great book   February 10, 2008
This is a great book, although you do need to have read the previous books for the set, it's a great book :)

3 out of 5 stars I can't believe these books are still getting 5 stars   December 12, 2007
I am so bogged down with this series it has taken forever to get this far and I hope as i've said before that I finish these books before Jesus comes back. I'm sick of Chloe who should be at home taking care of her child instead of running around impersonating GC. And I'm just about tired of everyone else too. The ones you want to stay end up getting killed off and the were left with only the Trib Force. whatever.
