Product Description

Combining her passion for prayer with her love for little ones, beloved writer and speaker Stormie Omartian teams with talented illustrator Shari Warren to share an important message: ?It?s never too early to teach a child to pray.?

Stormie encourages children to develop the life?changing practices of talking to God every day and explains prayer in easy?to?understand ways. With examples taken directly from the lives of young boys and girls, she helps kids get to know God, thank Him for His love and care, and ask for His help in tough times. Stormie also touches upon forgiveness, the power of praying with others, and having a relationship with Jesus as she assures children that their prayers do make a difference.

Bright, contemporary watercolors depicting a broad spectrum of children accompany the text to present a beautiful picture of growing closer to God in prayer. For children ages 3 to 7.

4 out of 5 stars Good Book   August 13, 2008
The book was what I had hoped it would be. Good quality and well done.

5 out of 5 stars She loves it!   June 3, 2008
My daughter asks a lot of questions about God and religion. Thought this might be a good book for her to have. She loved it!

I would suggest this book for school age children. My toddlers don't find it interesting enough to keep their attention. Great book for later on, though.

I've really struggled to explain prayer in a meaningful way to my daughter and I am very impressed at what a wonderful job this author does in making prayer understandable, relevant, and valuable for children. There are lots of great examples and explanations, and the book is nicely illustrated and fun to read.

3 out of 5 stars sweet, but didn't answer daughter's questions   December 24, 2007

My daughter has been asking why God doesn't talk back to her when she prays (age 3 1/2). This is a very complicated thing to explain to a child, and I hoped this book might help explain (literally) "What happens when [she] talks to God." It didn't help at all. It's a sweet book and she loves the illustrations, but as for the mechanics of prayer, it didn't help us. Still, I would recommend it because it really does address a lot of other issues (what to pray about, when to pray, etc.)
