This is one of the best books to serve as an introduction to the Christian faith. It would serve long time believers as well. While it is an overview, I have found his answers to be through without a lot extra words. He gets to the heart of the issue and gives alternative interpretations where appropiate.
I have found him to be fair and open.
If you are looking for something to give a friend who may have questions about the faith, I would give this one.
